1. What is Oraparx® Professional?
Oraparx®
Professional is new dental technology incorporating an adhesive,
stabilized proprietary cleansing formulation and patented
tray-delivery system. The principle behind Oraparx® Professional
is that of the concentration and contact time. The Oraparx®
Professional formulation maintains extended contact time with
gums and teeth at sustained concentration via the unique dental
tray delivery system to effect superior "deep cleansing" of
the TEETH and GUMS.
2. Why is Oraparx® Professional different from
other oral care products?
Most oral care cleansing products are in contact with the
teeth and gums for only a minute or less -- and are quickly
diluted and washed away by your saliva. The LOCALIZED,
dental tray application method allows the cleansing agent
to remain in contact with the teeth and gums for up to TWENTY
TIMES LONGER than toothpaste would during normal brushing.
The cleansing agent expands within the dental tray itself,
penetrating hard to clean areas.
3. How do I use Oraparx® Professional?
Follow the directions of your dental professional. See INSTRUCTIONS.
4. How often should I use Oraparx® Professional?
You should discuss this with your dentist or dental hygienist.
Some cases require use one time per day and other cases every
second or third day. When undergoing orthodontic treatment
or periodontal treatment you may be advised to use Oraparx®
Professional twice daily for the entire length of the treatment.
5. May I put my regular toothpaste in the dental tray instead
of the Oraparx® Professional formulation?
NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT. Toothpaste is not designed to work
with the dental tray-delivery system. Toothpaste contains
many ingredients that should not be held in prolonged
contact with the teeth or gum tissue. Using any cleansing
agent other than the Oraparx® Professional formulation could
result in chemical burning of the gum tissue.
6. Should I floss my teeth?
Yes. We strongly recommend that you floss and brush your teeth.
7. Is Oraparx® Professional covered by my dental
insurance?
No. Just as your dental insurance does not pay for an electric
toothbrush or toothpaste, it does not generally cover the
cost of 'in-home' dental hygiene products. Check your individual
insurance coverage for specific details.
8. Should
I brush after I remove the dental tray?
Yes, brush your teeth. Use the residual cleansing agent remaining
in your mouth as your 'toothpaste'.
9. Can I eat and drink after using Oraparx® Professional?
Yes. Oraparx® Professional does not contain fluoride. In the
dental office, fluoride treatments often come with instruction
not to eat or drink for 30 minutes after application. Eating
or drinking immediately after use will not interfere with
the benefits of Oraparx® Professional.
10. What are the benefits of using Oraparx® Professional?
After clinical examination of your teeth, gums, and oral tissues,
the dentist or dental hygienist may base their recommendation
to use Oraparx® Professional on some of the following observations
and considerations: Flossing infrequently or not at all /
Tooth sensitivity / Dry mouth due to medication / Persistent
bad breath/ Overlapping or tight contacts / Erratic oral hygiene
/ Bleeding when brushing or flossing / Excessive calculus
deposit / Gingival inflammation / Orthodontics / Periodontal
treatment or maintenance / High risk (Artificial joints /
Diabetes / Atherosclerotic conditions) / Pregnancy accompanied
by higher than normal mouth acid levels
11. Has Oraparx® Professional been tested?
Focus groups and clientele participated in voluntary consumer
trials and completed an extensive survey relative to their
results and satisfaction. All participants, regardless of
their prior oral hygiene status showed improvement and an
overwhelming majority (100% of participants in the consumer
trials and 97% of the focus group) would recommend the product
to a friend or family member. Results of product performance
have been verified by dental professionals via computerized
digital imaging analysis, clinical observation, and visual
photographic comparison. Photographs and survey results may
be viewed on our website. (www.oraparxpro.com)
12. Will Oraparx® Professional whiten my teeth?
Yes, in most cases. Oraparx® Professional does not contain
bleach, but can gradually remove stain and thus whiten teeth.
13. Should I be concerned if I swallow Oraparx® Professional?
Treat it as you would any toothpaste. Contact your dental
professional.
14. Does Oraparx® Professional contain fluoride?
No. Oraparx® Professional is not a fluoride treatment.
15. Are there side effects?
Any product may have hazards associated with use. Allergic
reaction is an example. Read all enclosed information and
follow the directions of your dental professional. Discontinue
use if problems arise and contact your dental office.
